Is driver's negligence to blame for Laurel fatal accident?

When a family in Prince George's County loses a loved one in a car accident, one of the first things they want to know is what happened, and who is responsible for the tragic loss. Police reports say a 56-year-old man was driving through this intersection when a Mercedes Benz traveling southbound struck his vehicle. The accident lead to fatal injuries for the North Laurel man. The Mercedes driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries but had not been charged criminally at the time of media reports.

The Collision Analysis Reconstruction Unit is still investigating the auto accident. However, the Prince George's County Police have provided updated information to the media suggesting that both alcohol and speed were factors in the accident that killed the 56-year-old man. While it may be months before the Mercedes driver sees charges, the family of the man will spend the rest of their lives without him.
