Auto accident involving two trucks and one car injures one

In Laurel, Maryland, there have been numerous cases of auto accidents that resulted in injuries and fatalities. Injuries can be life changing; some people suffer permanent injury like paralysis and amputation. Dealing with this painful ordeal can be difficult for victims as insurance companies may try to limit the compensation that the victim receives.

Cars are smaller than most tractor-trailers and other commercial trucks. By merely judging the sizes of these two types of vehicle, one can easily picture the outcome if the two vehicles are involved in a crash. Recently, just such an outcome occurred north of Laurel, in Baltimore County.

According to Maryland's Department of Transportation, the accident occurred on Interstate 95, and all lanes were closed until the debris were removed. Based on reports, two tractor-trailers and one car were involved. One of the trucks overturned and, as a result, the car driver sustained injuries. The driver of the car was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment. It is uncertain if the truck driver will face charges related to the crash.

In this case, the driver of the car may be suffering from injuries that could be minor or serious. The driver will need time to recover from the injuries and trauma. Medical treatment and therapies can be costly and some are not covered by insurance. The victim may need to pay the expenses out of pocket in order to get the necessary treatment.

The victim may also have the option of filing a personal injury lawsuit in order to recover uninsured medical expenses. By filing a personal injury suit, a victim who suffers from an auto accident injury may also seek reimbursement for other expenses besides medical bills.. A legal professional who has knowledge of how to handle this type of claim may be a great asset to the accident victim and may be able to obtain fair and just compensation for the victim's pain and suffering and lost wages.
