Man injured on the job faces serious head injury

In Maryland, workplace accidents have to be taken seriously. When you're injured at work, you should have the right to seek proper medical attention and may be paid through workers' compensation for the time you had to be off work. If you've faced a workplace injury and haven't received the care or compensation you deserve, you may wish to speak with an attorney.

You may have heard about this accident that took place at a Shelton, Connecticut, workplace. According to the story, the Shelton Police Department responded to a call about a man collapsing on Feb. 3 at around 1:30 p.m. They responded to the scene at SureSource LLC and found that the 31-year-old man had suffered from a serious head injury. The police did not describe any events that may have led to his injuries, however, the man did have to be taken to Griffin Hospital for medical treatment following the incident. The Detective Bureau of the Shelton Police Department is assisting in the investigation at this point, but report no signs of foul play at present. Although this is currently the case, it doesn't mean that evidence can't be found later in the investigation.

The severity of an injury at work can lead to you to missing days and losing pay. You may be faced with pain and suffering or medical procedures you wouldn't have needed otherwise. In cases like these, it's important to seek workers' compensation, if not compensation from your employer. Accidents shouldn't happen on the job, and when safety procedures aren't followed or you're hurt because of negligence, it's important to seek the legal advice you need.
