Sofia is a skilled bilingual professional with nearly 15 years of experience in administration and communications, specializing in English-to-Spanish translations. Before her current role at McGowan & Cecil, she contributed to bilingual content development at the Personal Care Products Council (PCPC), a major trade association in the U.S. Additionally, she successfully managed and assisted with large-scale translation projects as an independent contractor for notable nonprofits and other trade associations.

Her background also includes work at the Latino Economic Development Center (LEDC), where she created bilingual advocacy materials and organized meaningful events for underserved communities in the D.C. area. Sofia has also gained valuable experience in diplomatic and government relations during her time at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the Embassy of Panama, where she oversaw administrative operations for the Ambassador of Panama to the U.S.

Sofia holds a Master’s degree in International Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Lindenwood University, which has helped her build strong connections with clients as she explores her growing interest in the legal field.
