Car accident statistics in Maryland


Every year in Maryland, more victims are killed in car accidents than are killed in homicides. Car accidents are the number one killer of individuals ages 4 to 34. The total number of victims injured in car accidents from 2003 to 2007 in Maryland ranged from 51,000 to 58,118 total victims injured. The 5-year average from 2003 to 2007 of victims injured in car accidents in Maryland was 55,232 car accident injury victims.
