  1. NOT CALLING THE POLICE
After an accident a police officer should be called, he can:
    1. Prepare a police report documenting the time, date and location of the accident
    2. Document the fault of the other driver
    3. Document your injury
  2. NOT TAKING PICTURES
Before you leave the accident scene you should take pictures of:
    1. The property damage to both vehicles
    2. The location of both vehicles on the roadway and in relationship to each other
    3. Any cuts, scrapes, bruises or bleeding
  3. NOT GETTING IMMEDIATE MEDICAL TREATMENT FOR YOUR INJURIES
If you are hurt you should get medical treatment ASAP:
    1. If you don’t get immediate treatment you may not heal as well
    2. The insurance company will not believe that you were injured if you have not obtained medical treatment for your injuries
